Bach, Bagels, and Bob enters 2nd season

When Maestro Butts first broadcast his show “Bach, Bagels, and Bob,” he envisioned it as a chance for friends, colleagues, and patrons to stay connected and share stories and music during the pandemic lockdown.   In a short time, the show has evolved into a local arts experience.

On May 8. 2021, Maestro Butts celebrated the show’s 15th episode with special guests actor/director Eric Hafen and classical guitarist Stanley Alexandrowicz.

Other guest have included BONJ musicians, local composers, young artists, members of the New York Classical Music Society, guest soloists, and scholars of music and culture.

Internationally renowned artists like tenor Gary Pate (singer in the Metropolitan Opera Chorus), pianist Paul Zeigler (internationally recognized performer of all Beethoven sonatas and concertos), French hornist Robert Watt (legendary first African-American to have a principal position in a major orchestra, that being the Los Angeles Philharmonic under Zubin Mehta), pianist Lynn Czae (president of the New York Classical Music Society), and author/historian Jude Pfister (Chief of Cultural Resources at Morristown National Historical Park).

The next episode will mark the start of a second season for “Bach, Bagels, and Bob.”
